Whole Sun Designs Inc. is a solar power installation company residing in Southern Indiana. They do great work and are obviously taking their advertising seriously by hiring me to create this professional video content. Video presentations are an extremely powerful tools to promote your business to get your point across to potential clients. I used a Nikon D800E and a DJI Phantom II drone with GoPro Hero 3+ for this media. Check it out. https://vimeo.com/115592664

I have been a fan of the metal band Chimaira since their first record "Pass out of Existence" on Roadrunner Records. Around Christmas time I was hired to shoot two videos for the band. This one was at their annual Chimaira Christmas show. I think it was their 13th year in a row for this. The decision wasn't completely made at first that this was going to be the song chosen for the video, but luckily all the shooters had footage from it so I could put it together. I'm pretty darn happy with the results as a live vid. All of the footage was synced up to the studio recording which was quite a challenge. But since I am a musician myself, it had to be done. Unfortunately, the band broke up before this video was released. But it was received quite well by the global audience and blogs as a ...

Robert John and Associates has been a local staple for injury attorney firms here in Evansville, Indiana for the last 40 years. Most people in my area know this firm by it's jingle at the end of their commercials. Last year I was contacted by them to rebrand their firm as a new attorney was taking taking it over. After a few brainstorm sessions, I decided that they were looking for something different. After researching many different approaches to injury firms across the United States and even Europe, I really didn't find much that was very inspirational. So, I decided to take a cinematic approach and characterize my subject. The goal here was to show concern, yet show the area that he was representing in a Film Noir style. Black and white using ambient light. And this area we shot ...

So my friend Ben and I have been collaborating on video projects for a few years now. We did the Boscoe France flicks and a few other projects together to to see what we could come up with. Ben is a producer for the show My Classic Car with Dennis Gage. It has been on air for 18+ years and Ben and Dennis have really got shooting these shows down to a T. I was asked if I wanted to cover a car show with them in Orlando. The Festivals of Speed. Some of the most expensive, custom, vintage, and conceptual cars in the world are on display at this show. Lamborghini's, Roles Royce, Jaguar's, Ferrari's, Corvette's, Pagani.....all of it. So I said, "Why not?" Here is the ...

The Cold Stares are a band from my area that have had quite an impact as an original act. I remember when I first saw them a few years ago I was really impressed the first time I saw them. Always refreshing to see a band you have never seen rock hard and draw you in. I'd consider them a blues/rock type fusion band with only two members. Chris Tapp is the guitar player/vocalist and Brian Mullins is the percussionist. It really only takes the two of them to make a pretty big sound. They had me get some promo shots for them for their most recent round of promotional material. This was a super fun session and if you get the chance to see them live, I highly recommend it. Here is the link to the song JOHN by the Cold ...

I was lucky enough to shoot the most recent video for the band CHIMAIRA. I have been a fan of theirs for 10 years now. Now I can considering them friends. I have been working with the new lineup for years now since they were first in the band DÅÅTH, which you should look up by the way, because they rule. I shot this video in Cleveland in 5 days. It took 5 days to shoot because each of the band members arrived separately so it gave me time to shoot the nature B-roll and all of the performances. On the way up to Cleveland, it started snowing, which changed the concept of the video all together. Mark Hunter said that he wanted the video shot like Director Stanley Kubrick which also began as a photographer. He also requested a psychadelic edge. My good friends and team Ben ...

A year and a half ago, my friend and co-creative Ben Woehler started a story about Kentuckian blues man, Boscoe France. We finally finished the second part which brought us even further along in his story. After Boscoe won the Guitar Center Battle of the Blues competition in 2012, Ben and I started a small bio project video based on his life, music, and where it has taken him. Seemed like an interesting story. We put the first video out to a very positive response. We were actually contacted by the A&R president of Gibson Guitars. They told us they loved the video and to go ahead and take Boscoe down to the Gibson Custom Shop in Nashville for a surprise. And to be sure to film it. You will find out what I am talking about when you watch the video. In this video, you will ...

I've been playing music my whole life. Well, as long as I can remember anyway. When I was a kid (beginning at age 3), I played violin. Then I started playing piano. I wasn't bad actually. I could sight read music and entered some competitions and did ok. Then I switched to trumpet in 6th grade.  Liked it enough to earn 1st chair, but those instruments weren't exactly what I wanted to play. BUT, those instruments taught me quite a bit about composition, how to read music, understanding time signatures and tempo changes, discipline, doing something whether I wanted to do it or not, following through with a project to completion, and understanding terminology and being able to communicate with other musicians in the future. Then I found the drums. In 7th grade my mom got me a $300 ...

Around 10 years ago, I was riding around with my friend Ryan Smith from my hometown of Princeton Indiana, and he popped in a CD that made my head turn. "So... who is this?" I asked. Ryan replied, "I knew you'd like it. This is Chimaira." Impossibility of Reason was the record. As a drummer, I'm inspired by speed, control, and tastefulness. Chimaira had exactly what I was looking for at the time. My band Deliver Us From Evil covered tracks like Cleansation, Power Trip, and Pure Hatred. I still play the pattern at the end of Eyes Of A Criminal during sound checks. Cool stuff! The crowd loves it... which helped introduce our fans to this legendary band. Read More
